This project applies concepts from the lecture “Water Resources Management”. Such concepts include: i) calibration and validation of linear stochastic models of streamflow data and ii) multi-purpose water resources management. In this project, you will develop your own computer-based models to address a stochastic water resources management problem in the real-world case study of Red River Basin in Vietnam. The Red River basin is a transnational basin, which covers an area of 169,000 km², located in Vietnam, China, and Laos with three main competing water uses, i.e., hydropower production, flood control, and water supply. The results will be documented in a report.
